A gorgeous shot of Ashley taken with my new 7D – 50mm f/1.4 prime. The camera is fantastic and the lens is a very affordable option if you like to shoot in low light. Much of my frustration with the run of the mill point and shoot camera is that they don’t capture good photos in low light; when I most enjoy taking photos. I could have gone all the way down to the f/1.2, but I couldn’t justify the dramatic difference in cost. There are a few more photos after the jump which, ironically, where taken in intense sunlight.

“Fuck Cancer” isn’t just another feel-good fundraising effort; it’s a hearts-and-minds campaign in the ongoing battle against cancer. It’s working to change the way cancer is perceived in our society. It’s doing away with the stigma and the victim mentality. It’s shifting the balance of power from the cancer to the patient, and it’s turning “patients” into “cancer fuckers,” fighters, and survivors.
