Stunning Stippling

The video “Hero” from Miguel Endara is really impressive example of stippling. The result of 210 hours and ~3.2 dots is a pleasant surprise.

Urban Green Thumb

Urbio is a magnetic system from Beau Oyler and Jared Aller of Enlisted Design and Tim Cui of Volare Studio that can transform any wall or ferrous surface into a beautiful vertical garden. With both stunning design and packaging this Kickstarter alumni is most definitely on my wish list.

Gojee, It’s What’s for Dinner

Gojee is a gorgeous recipe site that is attempting to make your life easier by recommending recipes based on the items you have purchased at your local grocery store. Unfortunately, unless you shop at D’Agostino’s in New York, you’re just going to have to view recipes by selecting an ingredient of choice.

LEARN, MOVE & EAT

I was inspired this weekend by a good friend and decided it’s time to begin writing and sharing again.  These videos have been circulating the web over the last week and they’re really nicely done.  #vactionofalifetime #jealous.

Fuck Cancer

I’m very lucky to say that I don’t have a family member who suffers from cancer, but I have plenty of friends who have family members that aren’t so fortunate.  I ran across letsfcancer.com – designed by PACWEBCO – and was instantly moved by its message.

Flagged Down

japan

WHYBIN/TBWA of Sydney created some gorgeous ads for the Sydney International Food Festival. The concept visually unites food with one of the most common international symbols – flags. In addition to being beautifully styled they beg to be eaten. The complete campaign can be seen after the jump or right here.

The New Ride

a3_front1

So after 11 years of hoofing it around New York and 9 months San Diego shuffling in and out of every car that Enterprise’s More Than a Month Program had to offer, I bought my first new car last week. It was very nice to graduate from the Nissan Versa, Kia Rio, Chevy Silverado and last, but not least the very fuel efficient Hyundai Elantra and into my 2010 Audi A3.

State of the Internet

Great design and animation by Jesse Thomas that was presented at AIGA – Baltimore in Feb 2010.

Milk & Cookies

Fantastic stop motion video from Lait Noir that has your mouth watering by the videos end. This along with another stop motion video from Sam3 are some of the best works I’ve seen recently.

Small Footprint, Big Space

split

Very nice design by architects Britt Crepain & Stephan Spaens of CSD Architecten. Using a very small footprint (only 50 sqm. – 4×12.5 meters) they take full advantage of the space with this gorgeous split level house in the Center of Antwerp (Belgium). The house includes a basement, ground floor, 4 split-levels and a roof terrace. Courtesy of Archinect.
